Introduction: Thai Food and Temples!

As many of you may have seen on our Instagram or Facebook account, I just got back from an awesome trip to Thailand and Cambodia!  I talked about my first journey out of the country in 9 months in my Bodacious Trip Alert a few weeks ago and now I am ready to get started sharing our experience!

This trip was born out of my desire to finally see South East Asia and of course try a new airplane cabin!  And let me tell you, it was great but not really the most relaxing trip.

Why?

Well, with my job I can’t really get more than 8 days off at a time, so a trip all the way to Thailand and then Cambodia doesn’t allow for much time staying in each place!  When you couple that with a day of travel to get there and get back you aren’t left with much time on the ground to relax.  But who knows when I will be back so I just had to hit the two places I have been wanting to see for awhile, The Phi Phi Islands in Thailand and Angkor Wat in Cambodia! Relaxing will have to come on our next trip! (Greece in May 😉 )

As I said, this was a GO GO GO type of trip and because of that we have tons to share and review!  We will start our expedition in Los Angeles, take several stops on our way to Koh Phi Phi Don and then head up to Siem Reap before taking the scenic route back to Chicago.

  1. Aw wow definitely not much time for relaxation given all the travel. You must have spent at least half of the time getting from one place to another. Still, great places to see and explore. Hope you enjoyed…
