American Airlines Admirals Club Chicago O’Hare (ORD)
As I said in the Boston Admirals Club review, I feel like we have been writing a lot of lounge reviews lately, but we have just been to a lot of great lounges we want to share with everyone. Also, life has been a bit busy lately with the wedding, work and getting ready for the HONEYMOON!
Anyway, it’s finally time to review a lounge I have been to several times, but decided to review on this last trip because things were a bit different from previous visits. Although I have been to the Chicago ORD Admirals Club in concourse G many times, I actually hadn’t visited in over a year. This lounge has been going through a renovation for a long time and this is the first time I have seen it 100% completed!!
Concourse G Lounge
There are two regular Admiral Clubs and an American Airlines Flagship Lounge in Chicago O’Hare. The lounge I will be reviewing is located in Concourse G near gate G8.
As with other Admirals Clubs and almost all domestic lounges, there are free snacks, sodas, and coffee, as well as mixed drinks and domestic beer.
As you enter the lounge you are greeted by the attendants and an interesting wall to your right.
Going past the front desk there is seating directly behind the small wall and if you turn left there is seating, a computer room and an enclosed quiet (cell phone free) room which is brand new.
To your right you will find more seating as well as your snacks, espresso machine and bar area. There are also some barstools facing the window and tables dedicated to Galaxy tablets which are set up to use.
I already thought this was a nice little lounge but the upgrades to the decor and the completion of the quiet room really impressed me. Also, as always I really love lounges with lots of windows and this one has them lining the entire lounge.
As we have said with most domestic lounges, this is not any place that you would want to budget extra time in the airport specifically for, but it is nice. There is another Admirals Club located in the H concourse that is significantly bigger than this lounge but not nearly as nice now that this one has been upgraded. If I had my choice I would certainly spend my time here. Just another beautiful airport oasis to have a drink and relax.
