Lounge Review: SATS Premier Lounge Terminal 2 SIN
After two AWESOME flights in Singapore Airlines Suites class we finally arrived in Singapore for a 3 hour lay over. Had we been flying Suites/First Class again, out of Singapore, we would have been able to go the Private Room, Singapore Airlines’ First Class lounge. Unfortunately we were flying economy on SilkAir so were in no such luck. Therefore we were headed to the SATS Premier Lounge which we were able to access due to my Priority Pass membership through my Citi Prestige Card. However, before getting to the lounge we were able to check out some of this world class airport!
Here is the trip so far!
When departing the plane in Singapore you don’t go through security immediately like other airports but instead before you board your next flight. Because of this we were right in the airport when we deplaned and had to find our way to Terminal 2 where our flight was leaving from and the location of the lounge we would hangout in.
During our time there it was Chinese New Year so there were lots of fun decorations!
This is truly an impressive airport with interesting plants, Koi Ponds, Butterfly Gardens, tons of stores and plenty to see. Its was a fun walk to Terminal 2.
After arriving we took the escalator to the second floor where we found our lounge.
After entering, my Priority Pass card was swiped at the front desk and we were in!
After walking down the hall into the lounge you find plenty of seating with a buffet and drinks to your right and a “First Class” section in the back – basically just more seating with a sign in front of it.
Looking through the dining section you see a pretty good spread for breakfast with hot and cold items and plenty of different drinks.
We didn’t eat much here, just had a few cappuccinos and some pastries. We had eaten a lot on our last 2 flights so we weren’t very hungry.
This lounge also has shower rooms in their bathroom. These were the smallest shower rooms I have ever seen since they were really just a shower in the room, but I guess it is better than nothing if you really need to shower.
After a short stay of about an hour or so it was off to the gate and our final flight to Thailand!
Overall this was a perfectly fine lounge with all you really need for a short stay with food, comfortable (although old) chairs and showers. This is nothing that I would go out of my way for or get to the airport early for but it was certainly better than sitting at the gate! It was just fine for a Priority Pass contract lounge but I might be a little disappointed if I was flying First Class with one of the airlines on the sign and this was the lounge I was told to go to.
Next Up: SilkAir to Phuket!
